In a setback for Delhi Capitals, pacer Anrich Nortje has tested positive for COVID-19. According to an ANI report, the pacer tested positive while undergoing mandatory seven-day quarantine in Mumbai.

The pacer, last seen in the ODI home series against Pakistan, arrived in Mumbai on April 6 along with fellow Capitals player Kagiso Rabada. The duo, who was in mandatory quarantine since then, had missed Delhi Capitals' opening fixture against the Chennai Super Kings on April 10.

Nortje came in with a negative report, but has unfortunately tested positive now, ANI reported citing sources. He is the second player from the franchise to test positive for the virus after Axar Patel. The latter continues to remain in quarantine.

According to the BCCI SOP for a COVID positive test, the concerned person will have to undergo a 10-day isolation period outside the bio-secure bubble from the first day of symptoms or the date of collection of sample.

Delhi Capitals' next match is against Rajasthan Royals on Thursday.
