A video doing the rounds online has left Indian cricket fans infuriated. The clip in question shows Australia's Steve Smith apparently scuffing the guard marks left by Indian batsman Rishabh Pant.

The video which has now gone viral has left many furious over Smith's move. Smith has been in quite a number of controversies when playing India before. The current match has already seen both on- and off-field issues clouding what has been an exceptional series so far.

The video which runs for under half a minute, shows Pant making his batting guard mark at the crease. The video then cuts to Smith walking over to the same spot and scuffing up the mark. It is not clear whether this took place directly after Pant had made his mark. However, Twitter fans were not holding back on delivering their judgment.

India and Australia are 1-1 in the series after the Sydney Test was drawn. Ashwin and Vihari dug deep to withstand Australia's bowling attack to steal a draw. The fourth Test is scheduled to be played in Brisbane. India however, had voiced their discomfort in playing under hard quarantine rules that have been put in place by the Queensland government.
