A slow pitch and some accurate death bowling helped Chennai Super Kings restrict Royal Challengers Bangalore to 145/6 in 20 overs, in the IPL 2020 match in Dubai.

After electing to bat first, skipper Virat Kohli top scored with a 43-ball 50, while the big-hitting AB de Villiers, too, laboured to a 36-ball 39. The two put on 82 runs for the third wicket.

On the sluggish pitch where Kings XI Punjab successfully defended 126 against Sunrisers Hyderabad yesterday, the RCB batsmen struggled to get the big shots away, as the last three overs yielded just 20 runs.

For CSK, Sam Curran picked up 3/19 in three overs, while Deepak Chahar chipped in with 2/31 in his four.

M.S. Dhoni, who are at the bottom of the IPL 2020 points table, brought in Jharkhand all-rounder Monu Kumar and New Zealand spinner Mitchell Santner (1/23) in place of Shardul Thakur and Josh Hazlewood.

RCB, on the other hand, made just one change, bringing in England spinner Moeen Ali in place of pacer Isuru Udana. RCB are currently at the third position and will go to top if they win today.
