The toss for the first one day international between India and South Africa scheduled to begin at 1.30 pm at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association stadium on Thursday has been delayed due to a wet outfield.

As per reports, it rained heavily on Wednesday night and this has resulted in the wet outfield. The field was scheduled for an inspection at 1.15pm, but that has also been delayed as it started drizzling in Dharamsala. The ground staff have covered the field at the HPCA stadium with rain covers for now.

India, who are fresh off a 0-3 loss in the ODI series to New Zealand, are taking on South Africa in a three-match ODI series. The Proteas are coming into the India series after a 3-0 whitewash in the ODI series against Australia, after losing the T20 series 1-2.
