Sachin Tendulkar says this Australian cricketer ‘resembles him’

Sachin Tendulkar is undoubtedly a legend in modern cricket, and the batting maestro has already zeroed in on an Australian cricketer who resembles him, and added that there is “something about him”. Of course, he is not talking about physical resemblance but batting techniques.

The Twitter account of the International Cricket Council (ICC) tweeted a quote of Tendulkar in which he says that he thinks young Marnus Labuschagne resembles him. “A compliment to top all compliments for Australia's Marnus Labuschagne!” the ICC tweeted after

“Marnus Labuschagne's footwork was incredible, so he would be the one (resembling me) I would say. There is something about him,” Sachin Tendulkar was quoted.

Tendulkar along with former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh touched down in Sydney for the star-studded Bushfire Cricket Bash charity match being played to raise funds for the bushfire victims in Australia. The Bushfire Cricket Bash will be played on Sunday at Melbourne's Junction Oval. The match which was earlier scheduled to be played on Saturday a the Sydney Cricket Ground was shifted due to forecast of heavy rain.

The legendary Indian batsman will coach the Ricky Ponting side.

Addressing reporters in Sydney, Tendulkar called the bushfires raging across Australia the past few months catastrophic, adding that he was moved by the devastation the wildfires have caused. He said he was more than happy to be in Australia for the fundraiser and support the cause.
