Australia captain Aaron Finch won the toss and chose to bowl against India in the first game of the three-match ODI series beginning on Tuesday at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Both teams are in spectacular form, with India coming off series wins against the West Indies and Sri Lanka, and Australia asserting their dominance against New Zealand in a Test series and Pakistan in Tests and a T20 series.

India skipper Virat Kohli said he is not hesitant to push himself down the order so that K.L. Rahul and Shikhar Dhawan, both of whom are in good form, can play the top order along with Rohit Sharma. The hosts will look to pile on the runs and also cause some damage to the visiting Australian batsmen with their superior pace attack.

Australia are fielding a strong side with Steve Smith, David Warner and Marnus Labuschagne ready to fire up the batting line up. Pat Cummins, Kane Richardson and Mitchell Starc will also make sure to keep the Indian batsmen at bay.
