Australia were dismissed for 246 in their second innings on day three of the third Ashes Test at Leeds on Saturday, setting England a daunting target of 359 runs to win.

Leading 1-0 in the five-match series, Australia need to win one more Test to retain the Ashes for the first time in 17 years. If England manage to chase the total, it would be the second-highest ever run chase at Headingley, Leeds.

Resuming on 171/6, the Australians added 75 runs to their overnight score, with Marnus Labuschagne top-scoring with 80. It was his third straight fifty of the series after he made 59 in the second innings of the drawn second Test at Lord's after coming into the side as a concussion substitute for star batsman Steve Smith.

Jofra Archer struck first this morning, removing James Pattinson for 20, before Pat Cummins was caught off the bowling of Ben Stokes, for six. Labuschagne was run out for 80, trying to sneak a second run. Nathan Lyon was the last one to fall, bowled by Archer for nine.

The second Test had ended in a draw.
