Fliers at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) were affected by delayed services at Terminal 3 as a power outage caused disruptions. However, no flights were affected due to power disruption, media reports confirmed. Amidst the soaring heat at the capital city, air conditioners in the terminal stopped working during the outage, a report said.
Videos and images of huge queues at Terminal 3 of the Delhi airport were shared online by multiple users.
The IGIA authorities confirmed the power outage due to a voltage imbalance. All terminals were affected by the issue, an airport source reportedly told news agency Reuters.
"Voltage imbalance from the Delhi Transco Limited (DTL) grid briefly impacted all IGI terminals, affecting baggage acceptance and e-gates," a Delhi airport spokesperson reportedly told Reuters.
