A day after the bizarre incident, where Go First airways took off leaving behind over 50 passengers in a bus, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) sought a report from the airline. The incident took place in Bengaluru airport on Monday morning.

According to reports, DGCA is looking into the incident. "Appropriate actions will be taken," said DCGA.

After left waiting on the tarmac, many passengers slammed the airline on Twitter calling it a most "horrifying" experience.

"Flight G8 116 (BLR - DEL) flew leaving passengers on ground! More than 50 passengers on 1 bus was left on ground & flight took off with just passengers of 1 bus on boarded. Is @GoFirstairways @JM_Scindia @PMOIndia operating in sleep? No Basic checks," tweeted Sathish Kumar.

"Dear @GoFirstairways, Not a single person to inform customers whether the flight will fly or not. It was supposed to be on air now, but forget the airline, there is not a single person standing to inform too. Never make the mistake of thinking to Go First," tweeted Francis Joseph.

Flight G8 116 took off from Bengaluru's Kempegowda International Airport to Delhi around 6.30 am.

As many as 55 passengers were left waiting in one of the four buses that carried them to the aircraft. They had all completed the procedures and were all checked in. However, they were accommodated on a flight that reportedly left four hours later 10 am.

Out of the 55 passengers, two of them asked for a refund that was paid by the airline, reported ANI.
