Navy’s MiG 29K develops technical snag near Goa, pilot ejects safely

Pilot is reported to be in a stable condition

A MiG 29K jet of the Indian Navy developed a technical malfunction while returning to a base in Goa after a regular sortie on Wednesday morning. The pilot ejected safely, the Navy said in an official statement.

"The pilot ejected safely and has been recovered in a swift search and rescue operation," t the Indian Navy’s spokesperson said on Twitter.

The pilot is reported to be in a stable condition.

A Board of Inquiry (BoI) has been ordered to investigate the cause of the incident
