'Crorepatis' in new Maharashtra cabinet

Sandipan Bhumre with assets worth Rs 2 crore is the poorest among ministers

Some of the wealthiest politicians in Maharashtra are part of the newly formed  BJP-Shinde government in the State.

Senior BJP leader Mangal Prabhat Lodha is the richest minister in Maharashtra government with movable and immovable assets and wealth of over Rs 425 crore.

Lodha is followed by Eknath Shinde faction's Tanaji Sawant and Deepak Kesarkar. While Sawant's wealth is close to Rs 115 crore, the wealth of Deepak Kesarkar is over Rs 80 crore.

Poorest among the ministers is Shinde faction's Sandipan Bhumre whose assets and properties are valued at Rs 2 crore. 

Mangal Prabhat Lodha is president of Mumbai BJP and is also associated with Lodha constructions, one of the biggest real estate developers in Mumbai. His sons run the real estate business. He has five apartments in south Mumbai. 

BJP ministers Girish Mahajan, Vijay Kumar Gavit and Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil have assets and properties around Rs 25 crore. Shinde group minister Abdul Sattar has assets and properties worth Rs 20 crore.
