Virender Sehwag’s sister Anju joins AAP

She is a former Congress councillor

Anju Sehwag, sister of former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag, joined the Aam Aadmi Party on Friday.

"Virender Sehwag's sister, Smt Anju Sehwag joins AAP! She is a former Congress councillor from Delhi and was a Teacher by profession. Inspired by the work done by CM Kejriwal, she has joined AAP with all her supporters!," the AAP said in a tweet.

According to media reports, Anju hailed the AAP for making a difference in the political landscape in the country and said she is ready to take up any responsibility that the party assigns to her.

Anju, the elder sister of Virender Sehwag, had won the MCD (Municipal Corporation of Delhi), from Dakshinpuri Extension Ward in 2012.

She is married to businessman Chaudhary Ravinder Singh Mahalwal.
