The Delhi Police, on Tuesday, detained five members of Hindu Sena for allegedly vandalising the residence of Hyderabad MP and Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi. The MP's residence is located at Ashoka Road in New Delhi.

According to Indian Express, DCP (New Delhi district) Deepak Yadav said the accused were detained from the spot.

During the initial questioning, the accused claimed that they were agitated by the comments of the AIMIM chief. "We are questioning them further,” the police official has been quoted as saying.

Police received a PCR (Police Control Room) call about the vandalism and rushed to the spot. By the time the police reached the location, the miscreants had damaged the windows and entrance gate of the residence, say media reports.
