AAP to contest in all 68 seats in next year’s Himachal assembly polls

The elections in the state will be held in November 2022

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), on Monday, announced that it will contest in all 68 seats in the upcoming Himachal Pradesh assembly polls.

The elections in the state will be held in November 2022.

This is the sixth state after Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Gujarat and Goa where AAP is contesting for assembly elections.

AAP Himachal Pradesh in-charge Ratnesh Gupta announced the party's decision to contest polls in the state. Aam Aadmi Party will contest all 68 seats in Himachal Pradesh assembly elections in November 2022, he said, reports news agency ANI.

Earlier on Sunday, AAP leader and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had promised to take big steps to end migration from Uttarakhand if his party comes to power in the next assembly elections in that state. He also promised to reserve 80 per cent of both private and government jobs for the people of the state and to create one lakh employment opportunities within six months of coming to power.
