Even as the country is going though a severe crisis owing to the alarming rise in the number of COVID-19 cases, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra made a fervent appeal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, asking him to use every resource he has at his disposal to move medical oxygen wherever it is needed.
In a series of tweets, the Congress leader pointed out that India produces "7500 MT of O2 per day, we are one of the biggest producers in the world," and added that the oxygen shortage that various states are facing is due to lack of logistics to transport us.
Alleging that "govt has failed us," she asked: "Why did it not make arrangements when a second wave was inevitable."
"India produces 7500 MT of O2 per day, we are one of the biggest producers in the world. O2 shortage is due to lack of logistics to transport it. Govt has failed us. Why did it not make arrangements when a second wave was inevitable? There was time. It’s still not too late,"
She then asked PM Modi to "Use every resource you have at your disposal to move it (oxygen) to where it is needed."
"People are dying. Every life matters," she added.
... For God’s sake @narendramodi Ji do it now.

Use every resource you have at your disposal to move it to where it is needed.
People are dying. Every life matters.
Amid the shortage of medical oxygen, several states have asked the Centre to ensure supply of the same without delay and interruptions.
