Maharashtra Environment Minister Aaditya Thackeray tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday.
He took to Twitter to reveal that he tested positive for the disease and urged those who came in contact with him to get tested. Further, he urged people to follow COVID-19 protocols and not let their guard down.
"On having mild symptoms of COVID, I had myself tested and I am COVID positive. I request everyone who came in contact with me to get themselves tested. I urge everyone to realise that it is extremely important to not let your guard down. Please follow COVID protocols & stay safe," he tweeted.

Maharashtra has been witnessing a fresh surge in COVID-19 cases, with the state recording as many as 25,681 new infections and 70 deaths on Friday. The state government had asked private offices, except those related to health and other essential services, to function at 50 percent of their capacity.
