The National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test will be conducted only one time in 2021, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ announced in Lok Sabha.

NEET is conducted by the National Testing Agency under the Ministry of Education for undergraduate programmes in medical sciences, in consultation with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

The NAT, however, has not received any memorandum related to Pokhriyal’s announcement, reported ANI.

The NAT had last week announced that the NEET 2021 will be held on August 1. “NEET (UG) 2021 will be conducted in 11 languages, including Hindi and English, through pen and paper mode,” the agency had said.

The result of NEET can also be used by other entities of state/central government colleges for admission to B.Sc Nursing and B.Sc Life Sciences, said the NTA circular.
