Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday continued his attacks on the Narendra Modi government over the ongoing farmers' protests.

Rahul was speaking at an event in his parliamentary constituency of Wayanad. Rahul was quoted by ANI as saying, "Entire world can see the difficulty faced by Indian farmers but the government in Delhi is unable to understand the pain of the farmers. We have pop stars who are commenting on the situation of the farmers, but the Indian government is not interested."

Rahul repeated his allegation the three contentious farm laws were intended to benefit a handful of businessmen. "They're not going to take back these 3 new laws unless they're forced and there's a reason for it. The reason is that these 3 laws are designed to destroy the agricultural system in India and give the entire business to 2-3 of Mr Narendra Modi's friends,” Rahul was quoted as saying by ANI.

Rahul highlighted the importance of agriculture to India, stating, "Agriculture is the only business that belongs to Bharat Mata. Every other business belongs to somebody or the other. A few people want to own this business and these 3 laws are designed to allow 2-3 people to own and control Indian agriculture."

Rahul repeated his 'Hum do, Hamare do' jibe, declaring two people in the government were partnering two people outside the government.

Earlier in the day, Rahul participated in a tractor rally, visited a school and interacted with local residents in Wayanad.
