While the inauguration of Joe Biden as US President has been welcomed by Democrats, it is the ascension of Senator Kamala Harris to becoming the first Black, female, and South Asian Vice President that has sparked excitement across India.
From the newly christened Kamala fruit (the erstwhile dragonfruit) to an expected surge in the popularity of Kamala as a baby name, a Harris craze has taken the nation. Building on this, the popular amusement park, WonderLa, has announced free entry to all visitors named Kamala on Sunday, at all of its branches.
“This Sunday all Kamala's WIN! Any guest in the name of Kamala will get a free entry to the park on Sunday, 24th Jan 2021 on displaying valid photo-id. The offer is available only for the first 100 guests eligible for the offer under each park,” the amusement park said in a social media post.
The offer will be valid in its branches in Bengaluru, Kochi and Hyderabad and will also apply for those who names are similar to Kamala such as “Kamla”, “Kamal” and “Kamalam”.
“No other variations of the name will be eligible for the offer,” the park said.
