Delhi Deputy Chief Manish Sisodia has tested positive for COVID-19. The 48-year-old leader took to Twitter on Monday to inform about his health status and said he had gone into self-isolation.

“Had got my COVID-19 test done after I had a mild fever. The report has come positive. I have gone into self-isolation. As of now, I have no fever or any other issue. I am fine. By your blessings, I will recover fully and return to work soon,” he said.

Earlier, Sisodia, who holds the education portfolio in the Arvind Kejriwal government, had skipped the one-day session of the Delhi Assembly.

The AAP leader had been actively involved in Delhi’s fight against the pandemic by inspecting COVID-19 facilities and overseeing the disease management.
