Madhya Pradesh: Policewoman pose as bride to catch dreaded criminal

An woman police officer in Madhya Pradesh's Chhattarpur nabbed a murder fugitive after posing as bride.

According to a Times of India report, the police officer, 28-year old Madhvi Agnihotri, chatted with Balkishan Choubey and spoke to him over the phone for three days and trapped him into asking to to marry her.

Choubey, who is wanted in more than 15 cases, including murder, and is reportedly trigger-happy, agreed to meet her at a temple where he was apprehended.

TOI reported that after she was appointed as officer in charge of Garoli Chowky of Naugaon police station, she decided to put an end to Choubey's reign and began to study him. She learnt that she has an "interest in women," is ruthless and used to carry his gun with him always.

She found him on Facebook and began chatting with him. He offered to marry her after chatting with her for just three days and she agreed to the marriage.

She was accompanied by policemen in plainclothes, posing as her relatives to the temple. There were also policemen in plainclothes present around the temple.

When Choubey approached the spot on a bike, the cops, who were waiting for him, nabbed him.
