Jolly Joseph, the prime suspect in the serial murders at Koodathayi in Kozhikode district of Kerala, revealed to the investigating officers that she has no role in the death of two-year-old Alphine, daughter of her husband Shaju Skaria.

Jolly, who was taken by police on Friday to various places in Kozhikode for collecting evidence, divulged where she carried out the murders of other five people—P. Tom Thomas (66) his wife Annamma (57) son Roy Thomas (40) wife of Tom Thomas's brother's son Shaju Skaria, Sily Shaju (44) and Annamma's brother Mathew Manjadiyil (68). She also revealed about the type of poison she used to carry out the murders.

She said she hasn't poisoned the child and added that it was Sheena, sister of her husband Shaju, who gave food to Alphine before the child died. Jolly said she does not know what caused the child's death.

Alphine had consumed food on the day of her brother's first holy communion and lost consciousness. She was taken to a private hospital nearby and later to another private hospital in Kozhikode. She died on May 3, 2014.

Jolly and two others—M.S. Mathew and Prijikumar, were first brought to the Ponamattil house, where three deaths had taken place—Annamma (2002), Tom Thomas (2008), parents of Roy who died in 2011 after consuming some food in the house.
