Fire in New Delhi building kills six

20 people have been rescued, 11 are injured

At least six people were killed and 11 injured after a fire broke out in southeast Delhi's residential building on late Monday night. The fire broke out in a a building in Zakir Nagar area of New Deli at 2.30 am. 20 people were rescued while the injured have been moved to a hospital for treatment.

Residents of the area were fast asleep when the fire broke out.

Seven to eight fire engines rushed to the spot soon after the incident and doused the fire. In the fire, at least seven cars and eight motorcycles were reportedly gutted.
