The Central Bureau of Investigation on Tuesday carried out searches at 110 locations in 19 states in connection with various cases of corruption, criminal misconduct and arms smuggling.
The CBI has registered 30 fresh cases.
According to reports, the searches were carried out in Delhi, Bharatpur, Mumbai, Chandigarh, Jammu, Srinagar, Pune, Goa, Jaipur, Kanpur, Raipur, Hyderabad, Madurai, Kolkata, Rourkela, Ranchi, Bokaro and other places.
The agency officials said details of the cases in which searches are being carried out have been kept secret till the operation gets over.
This is second massive search operation by the agency in a week after a similar operation was carried out on last Tuesday against banking fraud accused.
