Prime Minister Narendra Modi has installed cameras during polling this time so that it can be found out who voted for the BJP and the Congress, said a BJP MLA in Gujarat. "Who voted for the BJP, who for the Congress, it can be seen. Aadhaar card and all cards have your photo now, if there are less votes from your booth then he will come to know who did not cast vote and then you will not get work," warned Ramesh Katara, BJP MLA from Fatehpura in Gujarat.

Campaigning for Jaswant Singh Bhabhor, the BJP candidate from Dahod, Katara added: "You'll see the photo of Jaswant Sinh Bhabhor (BJP candidate from Dahod) and lotus symbol on the EVM, look for that and press the button. There should not be any room for error as Modi sa'ab has installed cameras this time". Bhabhor is the current minister of state for Tribal affairs.

With campaign season for the Lok Sabha elections 2019 at its peak, Katara joins the likes of Samajwadi Party's Azam Khan, BJP's Maneka Gandhi and UP CM Yogi Adityanath for making controversial statements. On Monday, Azam Khan made headlines for his sexist comments against actor-turned-politician Jaya Prada who recently joined the BJP.

Earlier, Union minister Maneka Gandhi told Muslims to vote for her as they will need her once the Lok Sabha elections are over.

Taking note of these issues, the Election Commission has taken action against these leaders and are facing temporary bans from campaigning.
