'Pulwama intel failure': Chidambaram quotes THE WEEK to question Modi govt

In a tweet on Saturday, Former Union finance minister P. Chidambaram referred to THE WEEK's cover story Big Intelligence Failure (issue dated March 3) on the Pulwama attack, declaring the Narendra Modi government should answer questions raised in the article.

The story by our Senior Special Correspondent Namrata Biji Ahuja highlighted chinks in the armour of the Indian intelligence that could have led to the attacks. THE WEEK had accessed reports based on preliminary findings of the National Bomb Data Centre.

“Bomb-disposal experts who scanned the site said a lot of sophisticated planning had gone into assembling the improvised explosive device (IED) that ripped through the convoy,” the article stated. The story threw open questions as to how such a large quantity of RDX was obtained and assembled in the first place.

Chidambaram posted a total of four tweets on the Pulwama attack, based on the cover story of THE WEEK.
