The Madhya Pradesh BJP on Saturday, instead of releasing its manifesto, issued a vision document called drishti patr ahead of the state Assembly polls. Calling it a roadmap for development, the BJP promised a one-time yearly grant to marginal farmers below two acres on the basis of the official MSP announced.
The document promised that it would build huge monuments and museums in memory of state heroes like Rani Durgavati, Rani Awantibai, Durgadas Rathod and Chandrasekhar Azad in Jabalpur, Ujjain and Alirajpur, respectively.

The manifesto was released by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Saturday. Jaitley said that MP is one of the states whose growth rate is higher than the national growth rate and has shed its bimaru tag in the last 15 years.
Union ministers Narendra Singh Tomar and Dharmendra Pradhan also flew down to Bhopal to release the manifesto. CM Chouhan, Madhya Pradesh BJP president Rakesh Singh, and other party leaders, including former union ministers were also present as Jaitley released the drishti patr.
MP Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said his next government would set up a Karigar University (university for professional skills) and four super-speciality hospitals in Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur and Gwalior.
Most of the poll promises in the vision document were an extension of the existing schemes of the current government. In addition, the saffron party also released a supplementary manifesto focussed on women issues, in an attempt to keep its women vote bank intact.
