A 99-year-old man from Chennai has been arrested for molesting a 10-year-old girl.
According to media reports, the accused, identified as K. Parasuraman, is a retired government school principal.
The victim's family lives in one of the houses rented out by the accused.
The assault came to light after the girl complained of stomach ache. When asked if she ate something from school, she revealed to her parents that the accused had sexually assaulted her.
The father of the girl confronted the accused who was later arrested. Media reports reveal that the man confessed to the crime during interrogation
The accused has seven children.
