The Modi government has launched a blitzkrieg to mark its four years in power. Its new slogan for the 2019 elections is Phir Ek Baar Modi Sarkar (once again Modi government).

In another tagline for its four-year performance, government and the BJP is using saaf niyat, sahi vikas (clear intent, right development) to compare the work done in last 48 months with several decades of Congress rule.

In the elaborate plan drawn by the party, to mark its fourth year in office, 4000 senior party members, including Union ministers, MPs, MLAs and Mayors, have been asked to meet eminent and intellectual citizens. He himself will reportedly flag it off. Meetings will be held with many such people including, former Supreme Court and High Court judges, former Army and administrative officers, members of film, sports and literary world, among others.

The idea behind this move is to engage with such prominent personalities is to bring in a positive towards the ruling party.

Senior Cabinet ministers like Sushma Swaraj, Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari, Piyush Goyal, Ravi Shankar Prasad and others will also hold rallies.

Prime Minister Modi will hold a rally in Cuttack on May 26.

The BJP leaders have been tasked to hold beneficiary samellans (meetings) at the assembly levels. According to the party, there are 22 crore such families spread across the country. But the saffron party intends to channelise the goodwill generated for party's electoral needs.

“We know not all the 22 crore families will vote for us. But they will be most inclined to engage with us and easy to persuade,” a top BJP functionary said.
