A 21-year-old youth had a miraculous escape as he was trying to cross the rail track at Shastri Nagar metro station in Delhi.
Reports said Mayur Patel was later fined by authorities for crossing the tracks.

A video clip tweeted by news agency ANI shows Patel crossing the tracks while the train was on the platform. The train immediately started moving and, apparently after the driver saw him crossing the track, stopped within a hair's breadth of hitting him.
Later, during the questioning, Patel reportedly claimed that he did not know how to get to the other platform so he crossed the track.
