At a time when the Congress party is launching an all out attack on Narendra Modi over a slew of issues, the prime minister has got a new admirer in the opposition party.

Congress MP from Kerala, K.V. Thomas on Friday put his party in an embarrassing position after he heaped praise on Modi saying he was comfortable to communicate with the prime minister than his own party leaders.

Modi is an able administrator who has the capability to convince others about the decisions and actions he is taking, Thomas said while inaugurating the concluding session of the two-day national convention held by the Kerala Management Association.

He said Modi could successfully convince the nation the stance he took on demonetisation and GST. "I am not talking about whether they were right or wrong; administration is a scientific skill which Modi has expertise," he said. Thomas, as the chairperson of PAC, had earlier sought an explanation from the prime minister over the issue of note ban.

"Modi said things would all be fine by December 31. He was right. There was no riot in the country," he said.

Thomas said while Congress faced several roadblocks starting from Bofors, Modi handled all such things with his peculiar management skills.
