In a shocking incident, a teenage girl was stabbed to death outside her college in Chennai on Friday. The assailant was caught by the public and handed over to police.
Aswini, a first year B.Com student at Meenakshi Academy of Higher Education and Research at K.K. Nagar, was rushed to a private hospital with stab injuries, but she succumbed to her injuries later. He body was later shifted to Government Hospital in Royapettah, where a postmortem is being carried out.
The assailant was identified Alegasan, who is associated with mineral water business. The motive of the crime is not immediately known. However, according to some reports, Aswini had filed a complaint against Azhagesan, but no action was taken on him. Police have started investigation.
