The Vampire Diaries actress Nina Dobrev has yet again stunned the Golden Globe Nominees Night in her off-shoulder gown with a ruched bodice. Her corset-style gown, featuring lace detailing, sparked conversation about her fitness, style, and, of course, her beauty.
Did you know that Dobrev, who just turned 38, was a competitive gymnast who represented Canada in competing events with ribbons and hoops? However, she stopped intense physical training and transitioned to acting in high school. Though she is not an active gymnast, she always maintained her flexibility through exercises.
"I want to sweat every single day somehow," she once told Women's Health magazine.
Dobrev's fitness routine included everything from walking to strength training.
Depending on the day amid her busy schedules, her "workout cocktail" includes a mix of yoga, running, strength training, boxing and group classes.
However, it is not just hardcore workouts; sometimes she just walks her dog for hours in the morning to ensure sweat for the day. Even relaxing in a steam room is fine with her.
She also takes rests when necessary. "The key is to take it day by day. If you don't feel like working out or eating healthy one morning, just take some time for yourself and hit the refresh button," she was quoted in WH.

Dobrev's weight training incorporates "push, pull, rotate." She ensures that her upper body, lower body and core is strengthened. Her coach, Lissa Bankston, had said that she loves working her core and her butt."
During Covid-19, when the whole world was shut down, she built a home gym--bought gym equipment, including a treadmill and a stationary bike-- and used a personal trainer.
She even tries to learn her lines for the next day's work while exercising.
Along with the workouts, she also ensures that she gets proper nutrition. She does not put herself on a very strict diet; sometimes she goes easy on herself. "You are happier when your body is full, your brain functions better, and you're a nicer person."
