Malayalam actor Mohanlal has announced the release date of his upcoming movie Drishyam 3. Accompanied with the caption, 'Years passed. The past didn't', he revealed that the Jeethu Joseph directorial will release on April 2.
On January 6, while speaking at a private event in Kochi, Jeethu announced that Drishyam 3 would release in April 2026.
"Drishyam is a film that has influenced many people. I still bear the impact of it. Without much expectations, you may watch the movie in the theatres in the first week of April," he said last week, adding that the official release date would be announced soon.
The Drishyam movie franchise revolves around Georgekutty who is trying to protect his family after a murder is committed unexpectedly. Besides Mohanlal, the cast includes Meena, Ansiba Hassan, Esther Anil, Asha Sharath, Murali Gopi, Siddique, and others who will be seen reprising their previous roles in the previous two movies.
The Hindi version of Drishyam 3 is expected to hit the theatres in October. The rights have been acquired by Panorama Studios. It will be directed by Abhishek Pathak and will star Ajay Devgn and Tabu in lead roles. Akshaye Khanna recently courted controversy after he decided to give the upcoming instalment a miss over disagreement with the makers.
