THEATRE RELEASES
1. Bad Boys: Ride or Die

Everybody's favourite bad boys, Mike Lowrey (Will Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence), are back again with another adventure in the fourth instalment of the Bad Boys series. This movie is set to please both adrenaline junkies and lovers of comedy with action-packed scenes blended with the easy, enjoyable humour of a buddy cop movie. Besides Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, who reprise their roles as the protagonists of the movie series, Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, and Paola Nuñez also join the cast.
2. Satyabhama
Release date: June 7
It might be the season because Kajal Aggarwal is also delivering a mystery thriller in Telugu with 'Satyabhama'. The actress plays the titular role of a suspended female cop who is trying to solve a case of a missing person. This film has all the flavours of a classic cop movie with action, mystery, and tales of redemption. Supporting the talented actress, Naveen Chandra and Prakash Raj are also part of this Suman Chikkala directorial.
3. Golam
Release date: June 7
After Anweshippin Kandethum and Thalavan, Mollywood is all set to deliver another mystery thriller. The film, directed by debutant Samjad P.S, follows the trajectory of ASP Sandeep, played by Ranjith Sajeev, who is handling a classic case of whodunnit when a murder takes place in an office. Alongside Ranjith Sajeev, the film boasts other talented actors Sunny Wayne, Siddique, Alencier Lopez, Dileesh Pothen, and Chinnu Chandini.

1. Star Wars: The Acolyte

Another tale from the Star Wars Universe is out on Disney+ Hotstar to entertain all the lovers of science fiction. In this latest spin-off from the Star Wars universe, a respected Jedi Master (Lee Jung-Jae) is up against a fearsome fighter from his past (Amandla Stenberg) in 'Star Wars: The Acolyte,' which follows an inquiry into a startling crime spree. They follow a dangerous road where mysterious powers show that nothing is as it seems as more evidence starts to surface.
2. Maidaan

Celebrating the glory of Indian football, Ajay Devgn’s sports drama Maidaan is arriving on Amazon Prime Video. Set in the early 1950s and ‘60s, the movie follows the story of coach Syed Abdul Rahim, who is regarded as the architect of modern Indian football, and how the Indian team won the 1962 Asian Games football championship. Ajay Devgn portrays Syed Abdul Rahim along with Priyamani and Gajraj Rao.
3. Bade Miyan Chote Miyan

Get ready to go on an adrenaline roller coaster with Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff’s newest action-packed adventure which is releasing on Netflix. The heroes go beyond all ends to retrieve a stolen weapon from the masked villain terrorising the entire country. Manushi Chhillar, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Sonakshi Sinha, and Alaya F. play pivotal roles in the film directed by Ali Abbas Zafar.
4. Sweet Tooth Season 3

Netflix is back with the season finale of the much-adored young boy Gus, who is half-deer, half-human. Set in a post-apocalyptic world, Gus and his hybrid friends continue their treacherous adventure to Alaska to find a cure for a deadly virus. Christian Convery essays the role of Gus, along with Nonso Anozie, Naledi Murray, and Stefania LaVie Owen.
5. Blackout

Another film to look forward to this week is the dark comedy Blackout starring Vikrant Massey, Sunil Grover, and Mouni Roy, releasing on JioCinema. The much-lauded Vineeth Sreenivasan directorial is finally arriving on SonyLIV. Starring Pranav Mohanlal and Dhyaan Sreenivasan, the movie follows the story of two young men who plan to make it big in South Indian cinema of the 1970s and ‘80s. Basil Joseph, Aju Varghese and Kalyani Priyadarshan play pivotal roles.
