Hollywood actor Jeremy Renner is in a 'critical but stable condition' after being injured in an accident while plowing snow in Nevada over the weekend, his spokesperson said. He was airlifted after the accident, Deadline reported.

Speaking to Variety, his representative said: “We can confirm Jeremy is in critical but stable condition with injuries suffered after experiencing a weather-related accident while plowing snow earlier today. His family is with him and he is receiving excellent care.”

A two-time Oscar nominee, Renner has starred in Marvel's Hawkeye series as well as the Avengers and Captain America films. He is currently starring in the Paramount+ series Mayor of Kingstown, which is debuting its second season on January 15. Created by Taylor Sheridan, the crime series revolves around America's prison systems.

Renner was nominated for Best Actor at the 2010 Academy Awards for his performance in The Hurt Locker, and for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Town. Besides the Marvel films, he has also essayed pivotal roles in Mission: Impossible films, Arrival, American Hustle and 28 Weeks Later.

Though details of the accident are not clear, it is reported that Renner has owned a home in Washoe County, Nevada for several years. That area in northern Nevada was hit by heavy snowfall, as many parts of the US were hit by a ferocious winter storm that brought snow and subzero temperatures through the last week of December.
