Kerala film awards: Revathy best actress; Biju Menon and Joju George win Best Actor

The Best Director award went to Dileesh Pothan for Joji

The 52nd Kerala Film Awards were announced on Friday. While Revathy bagged the award for Best Actress (Bhoothakaalam), Biju Menon (Aarkariyaam) and Joju George (Nayattu, Madhuram) shared the Best Actor award. The Best Director award went to Dileesh Pothan for Joji. 

Kerala’s Minister for Cultural, Fisheries and Youth Affairs Saji Cherian announced the winners. The jury was headed by filmmaker-screenwriter Saeed Akhtar Mirsa.

Best Screenplay (Adapted) –  Shyam Pushkaran (Joji)

Best Music Director – Hesham Abdul Wahab (Hridayam)

Best Male Singer – Pradeep Kumar (Minnal Murali)

Best Female Singer – Sithara Krishnakumar (Kaanekkaane)

Best Background Music – Joji, Justin Varghese

Best Lyricist – B K Harinarayanan

Best Editing – K Narayanan (Nayattu)

Best Cinematography – Madhu Neelakandan (Churuli)
