Over the past decade, Indian cinema has given us some great sports dramas like Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Dangal, MS Dhoni: The Untold Story and most recently Sarpatta Parambarai. One of the most highly anticipated films this year is yet another sports drama—Ranveer Singh's '83. Directed by filmmaker Kabir Khan, the film chronicles India's win under Kapil Dev's captaincy, when the team defeated West Indies in the final to clinch their first-ever World Cup trophy in 1983.

The film will hit the big screens on December 24. Besides '83, there are quite a few sports dramas lined up for release in December and in 2022. Here is a quick look at the films:

Adding more to the ‘bad luck’ tag is the accidental death of her fiance just before their wedding. Keeping all those aside, she plans to train in sharpshooting. What awaits you on the silver screen is an answer to this big question: will this step bring a fresh beginning for Sakhi or will it add on to her burden? The movie also features Aadhi Pinisetty, Jagapathi Babu, Ramaprabha and Rahul Ramakrishna. The flick is helmed by Nagesh Kukunoor and bankrolled by Sudheer Chandra Padiri.
