Master director Lokesh Kanagaraj has tested positive for COVID-19. He took to Twitter to confirm the news on Monday, and added that he has been admitted in a hospital.

“Hello everyone, writing this to inform all my friends, family and well-wishers that I have tested positive for Covid-19 and have been admitted in a private hospital where I am being taken good care of. Will be back soon and stronger, until then, Lokesh Kanagaraj,” the filmmaker tweeted.

Lokesh latest film, Master, starring Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi, was a box office hit. The first major film to release in theatres post the coronavirus-induced lockdown, Master managed to bring in large number of audiences back to theatres. The film also featured Malavika Mohanan.
