Controversial Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut hinted at plan to quit Twitter and move to homegrown app Koo.

In a tweet, the actor told the social media giant that its time was up. “Your time is up @Twitter time to shift to #kooapp will inform everyone soon about my account details there. Absolutely thrilled to experience home grown #kooapp.”

A few days ago, Twitter had removed two of the tweets by Ranaut, citing a violation of the platform's rules. The actor has been criticising protesting farmers over their agitations against the Centre's three farm laws.

Last month, her Twitter handle was briefly suspended after she posted a tweet in reference to the controversy surrounding Amazon Prime Video series Tandav. In the tweet, the actor had used the phrase "time to take their heads off", which was reported by many users as offensive.

In another tweet, the actor called Twitter a "bunch of druggies trying to control us." "Tumko banaya kisne hai Chief Justice? At times you also gang up, then become a bully headmaster? Some times even the unelected member of the parliament. That’s not all at times you even pretend to be Prime Minister. Who are you? Bunch of druggies trying to control us @jack," she tweeted.
