Vicky Kaushal's Uri: The Surgical Strike, will re-release in theatres on Republic Day.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to reveal the news. He wrote: “#URI BACK IN CINEMAS... #UriTheSurgicalStrike - which won hearts and emerged the audience as well as #BO-favourite in 2019 - is back in cinemas tomorrow [#RepublicDay]. #HowsTheJosh #Uri”
This is not the first time Uri is being re-released after it first hit the screens in January 2019. In July that year, it was screened in theatres across Maharashtra on the occasion of Kargil Diwas.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film was based on Indian Army's surgical strikes across the LoC. Uri featured Vicky as a commander, who leads a group of paratroopers in the surgical strikes following terror attacks on the Indian Army camp in Uri in Kashmir.
Vicky had a career turnaround with Uri: The Surgical Strike one of the biggest hits of the year and the film which earned him his maiden National Award.
