Malayalam actor Jayasurya recently escaped an accident on the sets of film Vellam, when a power tiller went out of control and dragged the actor along. The team was shooting for a scene where the actor was required to handle the power tiller.
In a video that is now going viral, actor Jayasurya can be seen having a narrow escape. The power tiller suddenly lost control and went on high-speed, dragging the actor along. The team immediately swung into action and saved the actor from injuries.
According to reports, Jayasurya insisted on doing the scene without a dupe because he wanted to keep it original.
Vellam is directed by Prajesh Sen, who made his directorial debut with Captain which won Jayasurya a state award for best actor. Vellam is produced by Manu P. Nair and John Kudiyanmala under the banner Friendly Productions LLP. Samyuktha Menon plays the female lead in the film.
Jayasurya will also be seen in Sunny, which is his 100th film.
