Drugs case: Arjun Rampal appears before NCB for questioning

Actor Arjun Rampal appeared before the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Monday in connection with the Bollywood drugs case probe. NCB had already questioned Rampal and his partner Gabriella Demetriades and arrested her brother in the case.

He was previously asked to appear before the NCB on December 16, but the actor had sought time till December 21.
On November 9, officials from the NCB had conducted raids at Rampal’s properties in Mumbai. His electronic gadgets were seized and he was questioned for nearly seven hours by the NCB.

The NCB had also arrested Rampal’s friend Paul Bartel.

The NCB, which has been investigating the drug angle into Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. Before this, Bollywood actresses Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh have also been questioned by NCB officials.

The anti-drugs agency had also issued notice to Karan Johar over a viral video allegedly showing drugs being consumed at a party hosted at his residence. Johar, in his response to the notice, claimed that no drug was consumed during the party.
