Actor Ashiesh Roy who had been struggling with kidney-related issues, died on Monday night. "Ashiesh has passed away in his house,” the Times of India quoted Amit Behl, senior joint secretary of CINTAA, as saying.
Amid the lockdown in May, the actor was admitted to ICU. He had taken to his Facebook account to share the news and also asked for financial assistance from his well-wishers through the platform.
After his desperate appeal, filmmakers like Hansal Mehta, Bejoy Nambiar and others had reached out to help.
Ashiesh is known for starring in shows such as Sasural Simar Ka and Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi.
