Comedian Bharti Singh and her husband, Harsh Limbachiyaa, have been summoned by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) for questioning after the anti-drug agency conducted a search at their Mumbai home on Saturday morning. The duo has arrived at the NCB office, ANI reported.
According to a report by NDTV, the NCB recovered a "small quantity of cannabis" during the search.
"Singh’s name had cropped up during the interrogation of a drug peddler," he said, an NCB official said.
The agency is also carrying out searches at two other locations in the metropolis, the official added.
Bharti Singh has appeared in many comedy and reality shows on TV. She has also hosted a few such shows.
The NCB is investigating drugs allegations linked to the film industry. The anti-drug agency had recently questioned actor Arjun Rampal after his house was searched. His partner Gabriella was also questioned for two consecutive days.
The NCB had also arrested Bollywood producer Firoz Nadiadwala's wife after ganja was found at their residence in suburban Juhu.
