Popular Tollywood actor Nandamuri Balakrishna, on Monday, said he is certain that there won't be a vaccine developed for COVID-19 in the near future.
According to media reports, the actor, while speaking at the launch of the first look of the Telugu movie Sehari, said the virus is not going to go away and added that we need to learn to live with the virus. Further, he said although there is the news about the vaccine, this may not be possible in the near future and urged the people to be careful.
The actor said there are people who advice others to take bath in cold water. "Never do that during coronavirus. Don't worry about 'punyam' and all in this phase of the pandemic. Take bath with hot water. Gurgle salt water twice a day," Indiaglitz quoted him as saying.
Balakrishna, who is also the chairman of Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital and Research Institute in Hyderabad, also emphasized the power of mantras and faith in god and added that he has been propagating this view.
Balakrishna was last seen in Ruler, an action drama in which he played a cop.
