As heavy rains continue to batter Hyderabad, several celebrities have come forward with contributions to the relief fund, and have urged people to offer a helping hand.
Telugu superstars Chiranjeevi and Mahesh Babu have contributed Rs 1 crore to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. “The unprecedented rains in Hyd have caused massive devastation, loss of lives & extreme hardship to thousands. My heart goes out to those affected by nature's fury,” Chiranjeevi tweeted.

Nagarjuna Akkineni and Jr NTR contributed Rs 50 lakh each towards relief operations.
In a tweet, actor Vijay Deverakonda said that the people of the city have come out to Kerala, Chennai during the floods, and requested a helping hand now.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has announced Rs 10,000 as immediate relief to each flood-hit household in the city, lashed by incessant rains since last week, besides an assistance of Rs one lakh each to those whose houses were completely destroyed and Rs 50,000 for the partially damaged.
