Continuing her tirade against Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and the Shive Sena-led state government, controversial Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut compared the building collapse in Bhiwandi, which claimed the lives of 41 people, with the Pulwama terror attack.

Taking to Twitter, the actor said if the government had paid more attention to the building instead of focusing on demolishing her residence, the lives of 50 people would have been saved. Claiming that it was the negligence from the part of the authorities that led to the collapse of the building, the actor said so many young people hadn't been killed in the Pulwama attack.

It is to be noted that the building was not in the list of dilapidated structures of the Bhiwandi-Nizampur Municipal Corporation (BNMC).

“Only God knows what will happen in Mumbai,” she further wrote. The actor tagged the chief minister, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, and Sena leader Sanjay Raut in her tweet.

As many as 40 soldiers were killed in the Pulwama terror attack in February last year.

The three-storey building in Bhiwandi powerloom town, located on the outskirts of Mumbai, crashed on Monday. The building collapsed while the residents were asleep.

Meanwhile, the Bombay High Court took suo moto cognisance of the building collapse in Bhiwandi and described it as a "very serious" incident. The court was hearing another unrelated case of construction in Kalyan-Dombivali when Chief Justice Datta made the remark about the incident in Bhiwandi.
