Sushant Singh Rajput’s family’s lawyer Vikas Singh has alleged that the Mumbai Police were ‘hiding something very big’ in connection to the actor’s death. He was responding to the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) arresting Rhea Chakraborty’s brother Showik Chakraborty and the late actor’s house manager Samuel Miranda on Friday.

“Arrests by NCB prove the fear of the family that there was something very big that Mumbai Police wanted to hide. Clearly, there are several angles in this case. The family hopes that more angles will come out,” Vikas Singh told ANI.

The NCB arrested Showik and Miranda on Friday night. The NCB had raided the residence of Showik Chakraborty in Santa Cruz (West) and Miranda's house in suburban Andheri (West) on Friday morning.

Both Showik Chakraborty and Miranda were handed over the summons to join the investigation during the search, the officials said. The duo were questioned by the NCB sleuths following which they were arrested.

The agency is probing the drug angle in this case under the criminal sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act after the ED shared with it a report following the cloning of two mobile phones of Rhea.

Apart from NCB, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Enforcement Directorate (ED) are also probing the case.
