Priyanka Chopra took to social media to share her journey with the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), after being invited as an ambassador this year also. She shared a video of her 11-year-long journey with TIFF, and called the prestigious film festival her ‘second home’.

"Throughout my career, TIFF has been a second home for me, with many of my films, as both an actor and producer, making their world debut at the festival. TIFF has always been at the forefront of supporting and championing global content that showcases diversity and inclusion, a charge led by my friend Cameron Bailey and his talented team, who work with passion to shine a spotlight on these special stories and storytellers. Even more than that, one of the most exceptional parts of the festival are the fans of cinema who congregate to celebrate the magic of the movies, and who have always embraced me with so much warmth and love," Priyanka wrote in the post.

The video shows Priyanka promoting her film Mary Kom at TIFF in 2004. Pahuna: The Little Visitors (the film she produced), took her to TIFF in 2018. In 2019, her film The Sky is Pink was screened at TIFF. Directed by Shonali Bose, the film is the love story of motivational speaker Aisha Chaudhary's parents, Aditi and Niren. Aisha was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis and passed away in 2015. Priyanka also produced the film which also featured Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim.

Along with Priyanka, director Anurag Kashyap has also been invited to be an ambassador of the next edition of the fest. TIFF is slated to run from September 10 to 19. Other ambassadors include Martin Scorsese, Taika Waititi, Nicole Kidman, Rosamund Pike, Alfonso Cuaron and Riz Ahmed.
